Pierce Mortuary Colleges Offer Degree Programs for Veterans

At Pierce Mortuary Colleges, we're exceptionally proud of the long history we have in the education of active duty and veteran military service members. If you have a military background and are interested in the mortuary sciences, our schools honor military benefits.

It's our mission to help servicemen and women obtain the desired training in order to excel in this distinguished field. Classes are offered on campus and online and degree programs include associates and bachelor’s degrees. There are also several programs to update education that offer excellent options for those currently working in the industry who would like to increase their professional skills.

Three different schools are part of the Pierce Mortuary Colleges organization. This allows students from different parts of the country to find the right fit for their needs with a campus in their desired geographic location. Our military students often enjoy the ability to choose a program close to home. This allows them to pursue their career and have time with their family, while they complete their degree.

Veteran's Benefits Honored Through Pierce Mortuary Colleges

All the Pierce Mortuary College schools have been given the Military Friendly Award distinction. As a Military Friendly School, application fees are waived for veterans and current military members. We also offer special accommodations for military personnel when needed. Our schools go above and beyond to ensure active-duty military and veteran students have the support they need to complete their desired coursework successfully.

For our military members, we waive all application fees and participate fully in the Veteran's Affairs Educational Benefits Program. We offer excellent resources so that our military students can find all the information they need on the different types of benefits they may be eligible for in securing tuition funding. There are links throughout our Veteran's Benefits pages to help understand the benefits packages and to start this process. We also walk our veterans through any questions they may have. This includes where to apply for benefits and how to finalize and submit awarded benefits so that it is correctly reflected in school tuition and billing.

Our Pierce Mortuary College’s aid students in applying for the Tuition Assistance program available through their individual branch of service. The TA program is separate from the VA benefits and can help military members reduce the cost of tuition even further. TA benefits are used for the cost of coursework itself, rather than other costs associated with education.

All of our mortuary science campuses participate in the "8 Keys for Veteran's Success" and the "Principles of Success."
We believe that military members, past and present, deserve every opportunity to build a satisfying career for their future. Our commitment to supporting military students is a small token of thanks for their service. It's also a decision that we made knowing the major positive impact veterans will have on the industry and their communities in the future.

At Pierce, we believe that a career in the funeral industry is a calling that benefits the professional and individual communities.
